Now, GM has trained an in-house large physics model on those simulation results. “What we’re seeing is that actually, these tools are empowering the engineers to be much more efficient,” Tschammer says. “Before, these engineers would spend a lot of time on low added value tasks, whereas now these manual tasks from the past can be automated using these AI models, and the engineers can focus on taking the design decisions at the end of the day. We still need engineers more than ever.”

I have a great music library on my homelab, but I hardly ever listen to it because I mostly listen to music on my TV.

I occasionally use the Jellyfin app, which is the best player I've found for TV, but it is not really built for audio and is cumbersome for searching, on-the-fly playlist, and continuous play.

Other apps I've tried are either worse in terms of features, or an absolute labyrinth to navigate with a remote. Most apps are designed for mobile and are somewhat to completely broken on TV, if they run at all.

I don't mind if the app is not free as long as it works well enough for my family to use it, and it connects to the server. I don't mind migrating my library to another service to get it working well on the TV.

Has anyone found an actually good Android TV app for hosted music?

Today’s game is Team Fortress 2. I had some friends asking me to play, and I love this game (despite its many problems), so I said sure and joined them for a game of 2fort that lasted nearly 30-40 minutes because we wouldn’t capture.

Despite the length that’s actually something I love about the game. The community itself takes itself so completely unseriously that it turns the game from something competitive to a social playground with a secondary objective. Granted, that playground is occupied by some weird ass people (to put it politely).

That social playground was my home though growing up in middle school and high school. I wouldn’t say I was lonely. But it did give me a sense of community I hadn’t felt at the time. In a way I suppose it’s responsible for me finding my way here as it taught me what having a community is like.

Enough of the sentiments though. How was the game doing? Well. I saw no bots this go around. Which is good. People were still being people though. I saw a guy create a slur for people who are green. Like straight up the color green.

I had fun with the escape plan and grenade taunting people who would round the corner to get me. At one point there were some guys with our Intel just chilling in the room and I blew myself up just to mess with them.

With my friend all being new though I saw they were struggling. So after 2 fort we spend a bit playing private servers with Bots. It really I think helped give them a chance to test the waters. I just wish it was easier to set up private games.

Those private games were what we got up too for the rest of the evening, and despite playing against bots I still had a boat load of fun with my friends.

Hey there selfhosted community.

I had big plans when I moved last year to finally setup my homelab with proper VLAN seperation. Well a stressfull move later I simply had no energy left and just threw my whole homelab and all my services in my main LAN with no seperation whatsoever.

In how much of a world of pain am I in now when I want to switch my homelab services over in a seperate VLAN? Any recomendations or pointers to documentation for me to go through before I decide if this is something I want to do right now?

Currently this would impact a proxmox host with 3 VM's and 1 LXC and around 20 docker images.

I have basically combined the App and Mimetype icons of Colloid, the symbolic icons of Papirus and the Folder Icons of Zorin into one theme, I present to you Uniformity.

But this is not just a simple copy paste, here's what I changed.

1. Adapted the install script to this new structure so that it is easy to download themes with different folder colours.
2. Recreated the Zorin folder theme is SVG and changed all the glyphs.
3. Added over 40+ new app icons including a redesigned Flatseal Icon, Bazaar, Fragments, Eden, Musicbrainz and more.

I have made these and tested on Gnome only however they should work just fine with KDE as well. I would love for you to try it out and let me know what you'd like to see. I have laid down the groundworks for schemes which means you can adapt nord and catppuccin themes to this icon pack as well. The script works fairly well execpt the -t all flag seems to be a bit broken so I suggest installing colours individually.

When I start my pc, (Nobara 43) Memory is up to 70% usage. I dual boot, but use Windows like 5% of the time. I have a Swap partition (64gb), but it shows 0b usage. Is it safe to kill the windows process? Can anyone shed some light into whats going on? I was starting to think this is sketchy lol
