This is a common issue with indie games on windows where the antivirus reports false positives and blocks the game from running because it was not signed by Microsoft. To solve it, you have to whitelist the game from windows defender.

I really want to play this game, but when I try to launch it, the credits just roll, and when the start menu appears, it flickers and then goes black while I hear the menu sound in the background. If I click on anything, it crashes. Is there any way to fix this? I really want to play it :(
hey i'm not sure what's causing that but it could be a graphics driver issue.
if you're on windows, try launching the game with the -force-d3d12 flag and see if that works.
to do that open the windows terminal in the location of the game and type `Hachi_Eight Feet Tall.exe -force-d3d12` then enter

This was really good, even though I got the bad ending lol. Very good, creepy atmosphere and the ghost lady was creepy as shit. Very good stuff here.

Really good game! I liked the concept and story of it, and the graphics are really good. Also is the much more bigger freedom of movement, which isn't a standard in these kind of games.
Personally I like the whole game, and must compliment you on the add-on included post game - Hachi Mode. I played it (in my video are both plays) but have one question: Since there is ending screen which says Ending 0/2, does it mean there is some ending for this mode? I thought it is just non-story, non-ending funny mode, that you can play without some objective. But maybe I'm wrong...

is there a set time to beat??? I mean how long does it take to beat
Think they said the approximate duration is 30mins but I've read that some people finished it in 15mins really depends on your playstyle I guess although what's important is you had fun :)

I love japanese themed games and this did not disappointed, great work!
This game had potential. I feel like the walking took a bit too long. and the "e" tapping mini game took away from the spook factor. however, I did have a good time playing.
Absolutely terrible save-desings, on a guessing game with a 5min run to try again, and the "tap e"-moments are design flaws nowadays. Some fixes needed, but the foundation doin' good!
I enjoyed this game a lot! Great voice acting and chilling visuals! I got a little lost but was able to find my way back quickly (that was my fault, I have a poor sense of direction). If I may make a suggestion, may I suggest translating the signs as well for English players as well if possible? I played this for my chat and we all loved it (second game)

Super fun! Really reminded me of old Silent Hill and was just overall good atmosphere. Kept me tense throughout <3
