I made this game by myself, I made the art, music, writing! This is a project done on my own on and off since 2022. Definitely nothing crazy- But hope to live up to some expectations.
(some sound effects and coding aren't mine, I used rpg maker mv for that.)
Description
You are RE.
RE has to do their weekly tasks.
They follow a schedule of:
- Collecting their essentials, those including RE stew and their climbing knife.
- Playing with their friends/helping them in any way.
- Check up and feeding SET.
Nothing too hard!
Then you can just go back to your room and sleep things off till next week!
(This is over the course of 4 weeks)
Characters
RE (They/Them) :
The player character, RE is pretty quiet for the most part. They like to stick to a schedule and not stray from their set path. Even though they can be cold and quiet, RE has a soft spot for their friends- Always happy to help them out when time comes. Truly, they care deep down.
Scrimly (He/Him):
A mouse like creature, Scrimly is very bubbly and loud, mostly speaking in a loud tone (he does not have an inside voice). While he may be a little air headed, Scrimly enjoys any sort of company and is friendly to almost anyone! He loves to entertain and dance around, if you're ever bored, Scrimly will keep you company!
Rolfus (They/Them):
Rolfus is a gentle giant in a sense, being the biggest of the group, Rolfus almost looks like a spider horse. Despite their size and odd nature, Rolfus is truly a loving person! Being almost like a motherly figure, Rolfus is nurturing and caring for their friends. They enjoy to read and make picnic's, really the little things in life make them all the more happy.
Jellie (She/her):
Jellie's name is almost explanatory, looking jellyfish like, she can slightly hover off the ground. She isn't the friendliest girl you'd meet, actually she's rather rude at times- but don't hate on her too quickly. Once you wear her down, she actually ends up being quite nice and talkative. A rather inquisitive girl, Jellie likes to question things even if she doesn't like the answer. She has a hard shell, but a warm heart.

- It's done :D I've been in college and stuff and decdied to pick up this project again over the summer-! I've gotten a lot better as a writer and artist so I think there's been an improvment!

- There are 5 base endings, 1 secret ending, and 1 true(?) ending!
- Will there be a Scrimly petting feature?
- Sadly no ;(

AMAZING GAME I LOVE IT! (seen gameplay of the game and tried it for myself) results that an error happened after waking up a 2nd time making the game unplayable afterwards ;-;
Hey!!! I managed to fix it! If you download both the normal zip and the uncompressed version, you can get the missing images. You can also do this with only the uncompressed version, I'll explain both just in case! Note that this will only work on Windows, I do not have a Mac. I hope this helps!
For both versions:
Open two different tabs on File Explorer, one with the uncompressed version, and one with the regular one.
For the regular one, go into the folder titled "WWW", then into one named "IMG", then into the "Pictures" one.
Move onto the second tab and go into the uncompressed version. There, go into the FIRST folder named "WWW", into that one's "IMG" folder, and into the "Pictures" one.
Select ALL images from that folder, copy them, and go back into the first tab. Paste them there.

For the uncompressed version:
Go to the FIRST folder named "WWW", into that ones "IMG" folder, and into the "Pictures" one. As above, select ALL images in it and copy them.
Leave and go back into the FIRST "WWW" folder. From there, into the folder titled "Play me RE".
Go into that folder's "WWW" folder, into that one's "IMG" folder, and into the "Pictures" one. After that, just delete all images in it and paste the ones you copied before.
It fixed the issue for me on both! No more missing images, and all of them loaded properly after that!!
I just wanted to say great game! Loved all the cgs for this one it was great to see, unfortunately I didn't have the time to chase after the secret ending but seeing the rest was fun even if a bit tedious (WHY IS SET THE ONLY UNSKIPPABLE DIALOGUE) but overall a good horror game with a nice twist! Question: Is this the PC or MAC build of the game?
I tested only the PC build (because I have a PC) but not the MAC, so I'm unsure if thats the issue!

Huh, that's strange... Downloaded myself and all seems well-
This might be a 'your PC' issue, Truly haven't seen any of my play testers run into this- I've had issues before where RPG Maker deployment file didn't come with the game, which isn't too hard of a fix, just replace the images, this didn't occur-
I can send a build out that doesn't take out the unused RPG Maker assests out and that might work, but it'd make the file much bigger- Aplogies for my lack of help, I just haven't ran into something like this :O
Hey, different user here: I ran into the same issue after doing the first day and going to sleep (same error and everything), but I initially thought that it may be because of the file extensions, not because the pictures are actually missing as for some reason, certain pictures are .PNG instead of .png... then I realized that I DID see some of these ".PNGs" ingame so that was wrong. However, I think, for some reason, the actual issue is that there's TWO "www" files (with the second www file having seemingly a completed copy of the game's files + the missing images?), and the "first one" is the one the game actually uses, but is missing files?
Like, this doesn't feel like a "backup www file" to me, it's too weirdly structured and the 2nd www file is missing the "locales".
First image has the 1st file, second image is when I click on said www file, 3rd image is when I click on the 2nd www file. (4th and 5th images show the differences between the www files, including differences in the "Jellieberry.png" image, strangely the 2nd www has a "rough draft" version?) The game is clearly working with ONLY the "first www files" because there's a "save" folder there, with my save data, yet the "first files" don't have the images that the game wants, while the "second www" does.
I'm going to run an experiment by redownloading the game to restore everything back to default, and see what happens if I try to replace the first www file before even opening the game, with the second www file, taking care to save the "best quality" images and stuff. That may fix most issues that Gifeye encountered, as it almost seems like the "first www" is a newer version that was somehow "merged" with the older version, resulting in odd issues like files being missing, etc.
If possible, could you download the zip that this site links and see if there's a "second, actually complete www" in the files?
Oh dang- I reuploaded the PC build to have that removed, so that might fix the big issues :D I hope.
Hey, semi-technology lover here. I have the same issue with the missing images. Can you check my reply to OffBrand, it may explain the cause of these issues if you repeat my steps and check your files and discover the same anomalies as me.
