Star Wars Races

An attempt to document the appearances of various Star Wars alien races (both canon and legends). Mostly because when drawing I like to pick aliens based on appearance and this is an easier, visual way of doing so which also includes a handful of less frequently drawn races. Not completely comprehensive. If I skipped some it was because they: didn't have any photos online (visual representation) or were just too obscure/wild for me.

The Morellians were a species of sentient near-Humans native to the planet Morellia in Wild Space. They dominated the Morellian Commonwealth, a region patrolled by a law enforcement body known as the Morellian Enforcers. The Enforcers were known for their choice of weaponry: the .48-caliber Enforcer pistol was a slugthrower manufactured by the Morellian Weapons Conglomerate that was as strong as a heavy blaster pistol.
Polynean were the human inhabitants of the planet Polyneus. When speaking with Caern Adan about Wyl Lark, New Republic General Hera Syndulla noted that she seen two Polynean tributes in her career and had been impressed with their knack for piloting.
Pamarthens were a cultural group of humans from the planet of Pamarthe. They had their own language and they enjoyed a reputation for courage, skill, and enthusiasm. Most Pamarthens learned how to handle watercraft at a young age and, eventually, how to pilot starships. They were also reputed for producing a high-octane wine known as the Port in a Storm that few other humans could drink.

The Lowen were a species of Near-Humans from the planet of Low'n. They were distinguishable from baseline Humans by the fleshy tendrils that hung from their heads, their flat noses, and their loose, thick fleshy skin that bundled and folded up around their neck, shoulders, back, chest, and arms.
The Ocsin, also known as the Ocsinin, were a Near-Human species from planet Farana, near the Corporate Sector. Due to this proximity, the Ocsin history was always related with this sector. The Ocsin were identified by their black pupil-less eyes; white, translucent skin and complexion, and being too slender for Humans.
The Iskalloni, or Iskallons, were a sentient species of short, blue-skinned, humanoid cyborgs indigenous to the Wild Space planet of Iskadrell. Possessing a physiology that allowed their bodies to integrate foreign matter, the Iskalloni experimented with cybernetic implants, sometimes replacing entire limbs with prosthetics. An isolated civilization with a technological base fusing biotechnology with mechanical devices, they rarely came into contact with the rest of the galaxy.

Moogans were a sentient humanoid species native to the planet Mooga, located in the Perkell sector. They were on average taller than Humans. Members of the species had hands and feet with four digits each, as well as green skin. Some Moogans had a proclivity for wearing headdresses, tunics and sandals.
The Ka'hren were sentient humanoids indigenous to V'shar. This long-lived, long-armed, big-handed species was known to have thick flesh protecting their internal organs from physical damage. They had fur only in their temples and forearms; big teeth; and a crested forehead. A Ka'hren's skin color ranged from dark red to black, but the usual colors included blue and purple.
Kudon were a sentient species in the galaxy. A number of Kudon resided on the moon Kudo III. During the Clone Wars, the Confederacy of Independent Systems enslaved a village of Kudon, forcing them to work in a foundry to create battle droids. In the time of the Cold War between the New Republic and the First Order, Mek Nu'Tiv was a Kudon trader.

Guudrians were a species of sentient beings from the Guudria system. Each Guudrian was distinguished by a warty, wrinkled face, a short snout, and a wild mane of hair. Their eyes sported a pattern of black checks. Although their teeth were blunt, Guudrians had clawed fingers. Members of the species emigrated into the greater galaxy by 4 ABY, when a Guudrian known as Boom joined the crew of the New Republic corvette FarStar. Although they were relatively unknown away from their home in Wild Space

The Kamarians were an insect-like species native to Kamar. During the Imperial era, the most technologically advanced Kamarians had just developed nuclear weapons, and were well on their way to developing clean fusion and spaceflight. Despite this, they still lived in a feudal society. They organized themselves into small tribes or city-states called tk'skquas which often battled each other for territory.
Gulmarids were a sapient reptilian species indigenous to Gulma. During the Galactic Civil War, Gulma was slated by the Galactic Empire for annihilation, and the Emperor dispatched the dreaded starship Azgoghk to Gulma. Commanded by Mir Tork and the sadistic "scientist" Leonis Murthé, the Imperial death ship arrived on Gulma and rounded up the native Gulmarids for the sole purpose of systematic extermination, furthering the Human-only New Order.
The Filar-Nitzan were a polymorphic sentient species indigenous to the Wild Space planet DNX-N1. They resembled colored fog or smoke, with two eyes in a color opposite that of the main body: green Filar-Nitzan had red eyes, blue Filar-Nitzan had orange eyes, and so on. The species' gaseous nature made them immune to physical damage, and it allowed them to change shape quickly enough to avoid energy attacks; they could even diffuse damage from blaster bolts with a difficult-to-learn skill.
