With the 2024 release of LA ODISEA, Jasiel Nuñez proved he was capable of more than just being a songwriting secret weapon for música mexicana hitmakers. Released once more via the Peso Pluma-backed Double P Records imprint, the considerably more concise follow-up Lo Aprendí En La Lleca sees the Guadalajara native even further along in his artistic arc. He sings of luxuries and ladies on “Vida Cara” and the shapeshifting “Fórmula One”, taking a decidedly larger-than-life tack on the jet-setting “Heisenberg”. Moving effortlessly between Madrid and Miami Beach on “MVP”, he seems to have grown accustomed to this rare lifestyle, yet exudes gratitude for what it allows him to do for his mother. The presence of Chino Pacas revs up the high-stakes “Jalados”, while Calle 24 makes his hedonistic intentions on the momentous team-up “Chicoteado”. Naturally, Peso Pluma makes a guest appearance on “La Lleca”, a streetwise closer that once again demonstrates the pair’s undeniable creative chemistry.
