Seeking consensus on dh

I'm not a DD so I don't really know this stuff, but from what I remember dh is basically just codification of the current practices regarding debhelper. When I was looking into packaging (a long time ago) it all looked like a "magic sequence" with no clear explanation why this step, why that step and why in this order. Dh compresses all that into a single command that does the Right Thing. Huge improvement over the festival of mindless copy and paste.

And this should be given as the reason to use it to the doubters IMO.
