Of course, binary compatibility problems are not just a kernel issue, but kernel maintainers should do their part in maintaining binary compatibility (as should others).

If that guarantee is broken you can of course demand your money back - you see where I'm going with this?

Looks to me like you want to insult the Linux kernel maintainers by insinuating that their guarantee has no value.

You're the one who expects others to maintain your pet feature for free, indefinitely. I find that unreasonable.
