Not sure what the original poster meant, but twitter *does* seem to be the mental model behind the dbus - event has happened when some berk has announced it, with its followers consuming the announcement (and possibly regurgitating it). Announcements are small, pointless, quite likely already obsolete, generally full of shit and the information obtained from those could normally be had in much easier ways than by sniffing the turds being propagated. Social shmedia at its usual, IOW...
