-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2014-3915 2014-03-15 13:25:56 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : squid Product : Fedora 20 Version : 3.3.12 Release : 1.fc20 URL : http://www.squid-cache.org Summary : The Squid proxy caching server Description : Squid is a high-performance proxy caching server for Web clients, supporting FTP, gopher, and HTTP data objects. Unlike traditional caching software, Squid handles all requests in a single, non-blocking, I/O-driven process. Squid keeps meta data and especially hot objects cached in RAM, caches DNS lookups, supports non-blocking DNS lookups, and implements negative caching of failed requests. Squid consists of a main server program squid, a Domain Name System lookup program (dnsserver), a program for retrieving FTP data (ftpget), and some management and client tools. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: New upstream version with a security fix. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ChangeLog: * Fri Mar 14 2014 Pavel Šimerda <psimerda@redhat.com> - 7:3.3.12-1 - new package version 3.3.12 * Fri Feb 7 2014 Michal Luscon <mluscon@redhat.com> - 7.3.3.11-3 - Fixed: building of helpers * Mon Dec 30 2013 Michal Luscon <mluscon@redhat.com> - 7.3.3.11-2 - Fixed #1034306: fails to build for AArch64 - Fixed: active ftp * Tue Dec 3 2013 Henrik Nordstrom <henrik@henriknordstrom.net> - 7:3.3.11-1 - Update to latest upstream bugfix version 3.3.11 * Fri Sep 13 2013 Michal Luscon <mluscon@redhat.com> - 7:3.3.9-1 - Update to latest upstream version 3.3.9 - Fixed #976815: file descriptors are hard coded to 16384 - Fixed: active ftp crashing - Fixed: offset of patches -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- References: [ 1 ] Bug #1074870 - CVE-2014-0128 squid: denial of service when using SSL-Bump https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1074870 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be installed with the "yum" update program.
