"I'm curious; to all those people that say X11's network features are useful, can you show me examples of what you do with it?"

In my case teaching my students by doing demonstrations of various Linux hosted applications, diagnostics and network investigations using classroom Windows PCs behind a very restrictive firewall connected to the classroom projector. E.G. I can demonstrate IPV6 applications and various DNS and security tests etc. which are completely unavailable on my university network. Putty, XMing and X forwarding is my friend, as is having a faster uplink on my home network than I had a couple of years ago. I also use this to access my home PC applications and email often running inside consoles. The SSH tunnel also provides for a very secure application level VPN which I can carry around with me on a USB stick and use on any Windows PC.
