It is probably possible to have a firmware/FPGA box (no processor, too slow) having 64 Gbytes RAM to be shared by all members of the 10 Gb/s network, a bit like ATAoe; but security may be a problem.
That box could be the Ethernet 10 Gb/s HUB/switch.
