Will Samsung be asked nicely before people get out the sledge hammers? Nasty legal letters may not be the best way to engage their community enthusiasm.

Don't the SFLC usually ask nicely first? Harald Welte previously had some discussions with Samsung System LSI - http://laforge.gnumonks.org/weblog/linux/samsung/index.html

Just to be clear, this is Westinghouse with apparent violations, not Samsung.
