Since 2012, artificial intelligence has experienced remarkable progress, beginning with deep learning breakthroughs in computer vision and accelerating with the introduction of the Transformer architecture. These advances have enabled the emergence of large-scale foundation models such as BERT, GPT-3, and CLIP, and more recently, powerful multimodal systems like GPT-4o and Sora. As a result, AI has evolved from task-specific algorithms to general-purpose systems capable of reasoning across diverse modalities and domains.

Over the past decade, AI applications have expanded significantly in complexity and reach. While early systems focused on image classification, speech recognition, and language translation, contemporary AI supports decision-making, automation, creative generation, and real-time interaction across fields such as healthcare, education, science, and industry. This progress is also accompanied by growing attention to issues of transparency, fairness, robustness, and governance in AI development and deployment.

This collection seeks high-quality original research articles that explore recent advances in artificial intelligence and its applications across disciplines.
