In Memoriam of Jim Moor

Participating journal: Minds and Machines

This is a pecial topic collection to commemorate the work of Jim Moor, an eminent figure whose contributions have profoundly shaped the field of digital ethics. This endeavour serves not only to honour his memory but also to celebrate the enduring legacy of his academic achievements. Moor's pioneering work was instrumental in establishing digital ethics as a recognised area of scholarly research, leaving an indelible mark on the discipline. The collection will feature contributions from colleagues who have been influenced by his work and continue to advance the field he helped to define. Each contribution will reflect on specific aspects of Moor's scholarly impact, exploring the depth and breadth of his intellectual contributions. This initiative aims to highlight the ongoing relevance of Moor's ideas in addressing contemporary ethical challenges in computing. By doing so, we hope to inspire further dialogue and research in the spirit of his visionary work.
