Cyber-Physical Systems Services and Technologies for Smart-Health

Today cyber-physical systems (CPS) services and technologies exploiting the Internet-of-Things are playing an important role in smart healthcare, ranging from medical and assistive services to elderly health monitoring, anywhere and anytime. CPS services and technologies facilitate doctors and other health care professionals to provide immediate access to smart-health information for efficient decision making as well as better treatment. Researchers are working in developing various CPS tools, techniques and services to better support smart -health. In particular, recent advances in elderly health monitoring, real-time access of information of CPS are of great interest.

This Topical Collection aims to publish high quality research paper in various aspects of smart health.

    Prof Wenming Cao, Shenzhen University, China He received a master's degree from the Institute of Systems Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1991, Ph.D. from the Institute of Automation of Southeast University in 2003, and post-doctorate from the Institute of Neural Networks, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. He is also the Director of Guangdong Multimedia Information Service Engineering Technology Research Center. He has published more than 180 papers, more than 10 patents, and 6 monographs.

    Prof Zhihai, University of Missouri, USA He received the B.S. degree from Beijing Normal University, China, and the M.S. degree from Institute of Computational Mathematics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in 1994 and 1997 respectively, both in mathematics, and the Ph.D. degree from University of California, Santa Barbara, CA, in 2001, in electrical engineering. In 2001, he joined Sarnoff Corporation, Princeton, NJ, as a Member of Technical Staff. In 2003, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Missouri, Columbia.
