About the author
Dr. Ray J Rose is currently a professor emeritus, and a former head of the department of biological sciences at The University of Newcastle, Australia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Sydney University and PhD at Macquarie University, Sydney. His research interests include cell and molecular biology and biotechnology with teaching experience in the same areas. Dr Rose has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, authored 19 book chapters, and edited two books, on legume genomics and plant molecular cell biology. He has received awards from the Australian Society of Plant Scientists for chloroplast DNA/division and is recognized as one of the most influential authors by the American Society of Plant Biology. Dr Rose has presented his work at many national and international conferences.
