Lindstrøm returns with Sirius Syntoms, a refined yet playful evolution of his signature sound. Serving as a natural follow-up to Everyone Else is a Stranger, this album strips back some of the complexity of his previous work, allowing melodies, rhythms, and textures to breathe more freely. The result is a dynamic and immersive collection of tracks that balance deep grooves with a sense of purpose—music for both introspection and uninhibited movement.

Lindstrøm has spent the past two decades crafting albums and tracks with more or less successful wordplay, and Sirius Syntoms is no exception. “Sirius” references the brightest star in the night sky, a symbol of his cosmic inspirations, while “Syntoms” nods to disco’s rhythmic core, referencing the synth-toms that pulse through both classic and modern dance music.”

Musically, Sirius Syntoms is built around warm, shimmering synthesizers and pulsating electronic percussion, inviting movement and immersion. Hypnotic basslines, expansive melodies, and rich harmonic progressions provide a foundation that feels both uplifting and introspective. While previous albums explored dense, multi-layered compositions, this time
Lindstrøm has chosen a more refined approach, allowing each element to resonate with clarity.

At its core, Sirius Syntoms carries a sense of both escapism and sincerity.
“I wanted to create something that feels freeing,” Lindstrøm explains.
“Music that lifts you up but also has depth—something that resonates emotionally and physically.” While his last album reflected a more introspective and weighty mood, Sirius Syntoms channels a renewed
sense of momentum, an invitation to get lost in sound—whether in quiet reflection or on the dancefloor.
