Buy Now$6.00 USD or more
You were knocked out, and your party is stranded in the Dungeon of N'ven. You Cannot move. This is not a Dungeon Crawler, but a Dungeon Puzzler! Survive until you meet the Dwarf King. He may free you.. If you are Worthy!

Welcome to the.. HALL of the DWARF KING

The game plays out over 7 creature encounters before the Dwarf King arrives. While you can try to survive solo on the Playdate, we encourage playing via Mirror / Pass'n'Play for a co-op puzzle crawling experience!
Here you find..
  • A Game to Grind through
  • A light DnD session
  • A unique board game experience
  • A way to show your friends or family the Playdate
Hall of the Dwarf King is designed to play Solo or with Printed Materials. You can Print-and-Cut the Dungeon Screenshot gameboard, Creature Cards and Power Tiles in order to play Hall of the Dwarf King IN REAL LIFE! The Playdate will guide your play, use these materials for Visuals, Creature order and Roleplay.
See the downloadable PDF for further information, game mechanics AND tips on Hosting a round or two for your friends or Family Game Night!
IF you are a Player that just wants something to Grind, you can play rounds over and over and learn a number of stats per Creature, per Round. There's a lot to unlock - Numbers go Up and there are rewards for Completionists all along the way!
Hall of the Dwarf King is very much inspired by VHS board games of the past. The mixed-media concept of a game that guides your DnD session has been kicking around in us for a long time, and finally achieved on the Playdate.

Build 20250829 (v2.022) Uploaded with hotfix to Mage Skill

This is such a great concept and very well executed! Im really hoping you continue to develop this and bring it to catalogue. I actually would love to see this as a limited physical product available in an Etsy or something.. a limited edition product containing usb with the game+ premium printouts and manual. would gladly pay upwards of $29+ for a full campaign if you through in extra like stickers too!

Hi thanks for playing! Yes, I definitely plan to update it on two lines.

It needs a fully Solo mode to play without a board where the game chooses the Creatures for each round. I also want it to surface some current encounter information a bit better and chests/mimics didn't make it into the game, but they will.

Separately, I want the Boardgame play more interactive. So when you have a chance for an item, you'll pick the item tiles randomly out of a bag, maybe roll a d6 for attack yourself, that kinda thing.

And I'm absolutely thinking of making a limited (probably Very Limited) physical edition at some point.

There's not a set timeline for these things, but the project is still pretty fresh so I don't think I'm gonna wait too long, at least on the game updates.

This sounds awesome! I would too buy a physical release of your game! Hope it will be possible :)
