6 个月前	mod	Removed Comment That depends. Did they dislike my comment? If yes, then it's probably offensive. If no, then it's fine. It's a lot of words. If they're not reading em, that's fine. I genuinely do not see the insult here. I said this before to some other guy, who was way less kind than you, but maybe it's because that meme is somehow narrowly connected to some right wing stuff that I'm not terminally-online enough to understand. For me it's literally just words. I do the same thing with my best friend when he sends me a voice message, which I always get transcribed and then summarized. If anything, my "insult" was towards groups that have trouble with focus. As an example: I am literally sitting here, having gotten nothing done for work in weeks. Not kidding, I genuinely need help with that and have no idea how to get it or whom to ask. I fear I may lose my life permit otherwise. I'm sorry, but unless convinced otherwise, I do not believe the issue lies within my action. I see this as a gross generalization of intent and lack of perception of nuance, as well as a fragile ego of the lemmy.ml community, not as to throw any feces in your general direction, like apes do, this is a genuine concern. I have a LOT of opinions about stuff I have knowledge about and stuff I do not have knowledge about, more commonly the latter, but at last I am aware. But not once in my life have I opposed someone in a way as to mock them on a political stance. Doesn't mean I don't hate their guts. I have family, in another european country, which is incredibly right wing, like what ever comes after nazi right wing. Yet I still hear them out and because I know that the things that I would tell them have largely been told to them before, I don't mention those. They're gone anyways, but maybe I'll get their kids to see that bullshit. And if I have this patience with someone that I actively hate for their opinions, then tell me why would I not have that patience for a brother socialist? I see a general lack of exposure of opposing interest in the modern day, mostly driven by social bubbles. Not even necessarily to be open minded and accepting, but even to just learn more about the opposition. Now, lack of perception of nuance and such: I find this just sad honestly. Like there would be so much potential if we didn't always clash against ourselves. All I said was that it is long and I'm not reading it and because of this oh so holy text I'm getting beraded for my unjust and even ableist behavior. I'd get it if I actively used hate speech, but I didn't. I memed. Every little bit of insult was interpreted into it. Sadly, this is something that I see with .ml a lot. Again, this isn't meant in the usual sense that I'm against you, I am actively for some of your opinions. Just like I am actively for some of dbZer0's opinions. They're pretty equal, I just like an anarchist internet, so I prefer the instance, but I am immediately branded as a "self proclaimed western anarchist" who is secretly a lib. That is insane behavior, is it not? The only parts where I have similarities to a libertarian is that I believe in some form of democracy or a better system for the greater good, which to some extend includes the individual, or shall I rather say individual identity, and that I believe in a form of freedom, just not as defined by libs, if you catch my drift. I have ADHD and it is a genuine effort for me to read. "It's just 8 minutes" doesn't really apply to everyone. It's not that I'm not interested, but I sure as hell am not reading an essay for the explanation of a single word. "That's a lotta words (bout 400). Too bad I'm not readin em (I'm not)."
