Removed Comment Maybe you should try it before jumping to a bunch of conclusions and asking people to defuse them. People spend hours and hours writing guides. It's not like you're referencing a book either. You have a fully internet-capable device in your pocket that can run stuff like [Linux Command Library](https://f-droid.org/packages/com.inspiredandroid.linuxcommandbibliotheca/), online forums, or maybe even Deepseek to point you in the right direction. Linux Mint has a Matrix chatroom where I was able to bug people whenever I wanted, even if I picked up my computer and threw it onto the sidewalk downstairs they could troubleshoot it. This is not true of Windows support 😭 For me the reason why this concern doesn't even make sense is everything that's "so easy to do" with hunt-and-click via Apple and Windows is, as a command line task, now totally automated with scripts and combined with NTFY to ping me on other devices when stuff happens. Helplessly staring at a "fixing myself up" loading bar that ends up breaking the computer never happens, instead I have to get involved, which helps me figure out how to avoid the problem. by DJ Putler@lemmy.ml
