Texas has separated at least 26 migrant family units on the southern border since July 10 under Gov. Greg Abbott’s Operation Lone Star border initiative, according to Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid immigration attorney Kristin Etter.

      Why are we treating asylum seekers like criminals?

      They only arrested the fathers. Were the mother and child not criminals for doing the exact same thing?

      This is cruelty for its own sake. Texas isn’t supposed to be enforcing immigration law.

          Your made up narrative is very entertaining, but you have no idea what their intentions are and the asylum law makes no distinction.

          And again, it’s not up to Texas to enforce immigration law.
