Laura Robards (SAG-AFTRA) is a New York–based actor, director, and vocalist whose work spans film, performance, music, and experimental media. She has appeared in independent features including Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point and Unholy Communion, and has originated roles in new theatrical works developed with interdisciplinary artists and writers, including multiple collaborations with playwright and activist Ishmael Reed.
Alongside her acting work, Laura creates authored projects that center voice, embodiment, and interior life. Her directorial debut, Pursuit & The Elusive, an experimental VR film, screened internationally and reflects her ongoing interest in hybrid and emerging forms. She is currently developing a musical with composer and producer Lora-Faye Åshuvud (Arthur Moon) and collaborates as a member of several musical ensembles. She is a graduate of Smith College.
