A tale of dark and troubling things.

If On A Winter's Night, Four Travelers is a narrative-driven point-and-click adventure that explores the stories of four different characters in a masked ball taking place on a train in the late 1920s.

THE SILENT ROOM

In a luxurious hotel room in Rome, freshly arrived from Turin, Carlo awaits for his lover Patrick to arrive. However, as the shadow of fascism looms ever larger, the tension of meeting in constant hiding is beginning to take its toll.

THE SLOW VANISHING OF LADY WINTERBOURNE

Lady Winterbourne has lost her husband in a tragic accident. Now letters from pretenders to her vast fortune keep arriving every day at her mansion, yet the only thing she's interested in is the bottle of laudanum in her cabinet.

THE NAMELESS RITUAL

Harassed, ridiculed and belittled by his peers, Dr. Jordan Samuels has resorted to the occult sciences in a desperate attempt to turn the tables on his tormentors. But is he truly ready to face the Guardian of the Threshold?

IF ON A WINTER'S NIGHT

As much as Laylah enjoys her job, sometimes she yearns for a bit of variety to distract her from her daily routine -- even if it means going against her very powerful bosses' orders.

I've come back to this a few times now, it never disappoints it's so great

This was genuinely such an incredible experience, I'm having trouble putting it all into words. I gasped aloud on the scene with the cat. My god.

I just discovered this little gem today.

What a game!

I absolutely loved this game! Everything from the art, to the story to the music is incredible!  The art and animation especially blew me away. 10/10

This is the best game I've played in a long, looong while... Hell, I believe this might just be very high among all the games I've EVER played!! And to think so few people worked or helped to make it.. just WOW!!! Everything from the vibes to the music to the storytelling, and don't even get me started on the visuals. In one word: STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heya! I'mm'a try to figure out some workarounds, but the game seems bugged on my linux setup. I have two monitors, and I can only ever see the left half of the game screen, and only when the window is maximized. Unless the game window is stretched across the full length of both monitors. As in, I can only see this when it's full-screen on one of my monitors.

But when it's stretched across both, i can see this

(it's hard to see, but that little blue at the bottom middle is where my right monitor starts)

I'm gonna try and reconfigure my setup to pretend I only have one monitor for playing, but I figured I'd let you guys know cuz that doesn't seem intentional.

okay, yeah, re-configuring xrandr to turn off my second monitor (then restarting the game) fixed it.

This game was amazing! Each of the puzzles especially in Valerie's story had just enough to it that it wasn't too frustrating nor too easy. Just absolutely blown away with how lifelike the game feels, the animation is just so fluid and stunning for a pixel game. Everyone who worked on this game should be proud of this game, it's an absolutely wonderful play!! <3 <3

Espectacular. La combinación de una buena historia, los gráficos y el apartado musical me ha dejado sin palabras, no me quedan dudas de llamarlo uno de los mejores juegos que hay actualmente en la plataforma y me da tanto gusto haberle dado una oportunidad.

This have been one of the best indie games i ever played, the history telling, the music, the atmosphere, is SO AWESOME,  i played it 2 hours on a run whit the think of a simple game, i was so damn wrong.

If you want to play a game on late night, rich history, nice graphics, puzzles no so hard but no so easy, this game has it, has the combination of the 19's places whit the musics of that era, now in my main lenguage, me encantó totalemte, de verdad mis felicitaciones para el equipo es uno de los juegos que mas he disfrutado hasta el momento, lo recomendaré a amigos y conocidos. Espero poder jugar más juegos como este y con una atmósfera similar.
PD: I loved that mixed different lenguages in multiples escenarios.

Whit the last words, a truly lovely game

Hi Laura!
I'm contacting you because I'm an Italian video game translator looking for a project to add to my portfolio. I have two fellow translators who are also interested in working on your game.
As we are beginners, we'd like to translate your game into Italian in exchange for recognition on the credits.

We can work on MemoQ, Excel, and Ren'Py.

Please, let me know if you're interested in collaborating with us!
Thanks,
Lucia

It is probably the best game on itch.io! It amazes me how this masterpiece is free. The storywriting and the art is to die for. It's so sad yet intriguing..

I loved it, although I was expecting the last story to... well can't say because that would spoil the fun for players coming after me! By putting them all on this train you are building up to what I was expecting. Still 10/10

This exceeded all of my expectations! I love this so much, keep up the good work!

(+6)

You call this a free game? So fascinating!! Totally beyond my expectation, very literary, it feels like a poem or a book has been opened by the fireplace on a winter nigh, right there, waiting to be read by random people passing by who are attending the feast of life.

(+1)

I like the perspective

(+2)

I love pixel and point and click games and this was phenomenal. The stories were told so well, and the artwork was fantastic! All around amazing job!

(+4)

OH MY GOODNESS!!! THIS GAME WAS SO GOOD!! I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!

the emotions this game gives you!! omg!! I definitely cried a few times. I love the art style so much!! there was definitely alot of work put into this game and it paid off!!

if your thinking of playing this game I say give it a go!! thank you for making this game I enjoyed it a lot!! keep up the great work!!

(+4)

Pixel art like you have never seen.

The game flows perfectly and the stories are enticing, but the main aspect is the art, both the soundtracks and the graphics are amazing, moody yet appropriate for the context, astonishingly beautiful yet not invasive.

I really suggest everyone to give it a try.
