As a hobby musician I was well aware of Puremagnetik’s fantastic Ableton sounds and plugins. Somehow I never explored Puremagnetik - the label. But now I have corrected that wrong. And boy… it feels I have just opened a treasure chest. I absolutely adore the aesthetic on this Tape Pieces trilogy. It has that “the tapemachine broke” ambient quality but does maintain a certain pulse as well. I was positively reminded of the 1980s Holger Czukay albums too. Lovely music. Delicate and evocative! <3
