Use the A and D keys to move around, use S to dispatch your influence over your protegé, your influence gets stronger as long as you keep influencing your protegé without any interruption. Watch out for the bad influences coming at your protegé, you can kill  presuade them from screwing  adversely affect him by using your influence on them, if you do a lousy job  let them reach him, they will take away some of the influence you gave, if they take too much, it's game over.
