WELCOME! \"Home<\/a>\"Home<\/a>\"00200015c\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I’m an author, actor, audiobook narrator, writing coach, and editor…and now I’ve added one more hat! Screenwriter. I recently adapted my novel Speed of Life into a screenplay and made the Second Round in the screenplay competition at the Austin Film Festival 2022. At the festival, I met the director, Jason Karman and pitched him my screenplay…long story short…he took it on as his next project. We’ve been working together ever since, and I’m excited to say we have a shopping script and he’s out there making it happen! In the meantime, check out his current film, Golden Delicious.<\/a><\/p>\n

I’m so glad you dropped by my site. If you haven’t been here before, there’s lots to explore. You could check out the book trailers and listen to some of the music from Restoring Harmony. Use the tabs along the top for easy navigation.<\/p>\n

For writers, there are some nonfiction articles on the craft of writing under the Articles <\/a>tab.\u00a0 Oh, and for you teachers, there’s a study guide to go along with Restoring Harmony<\/a>, along with an author bio and Q&A.<\/p>\n

Did you know I’m also a freelance editor?<\/strong> You can hire me to give you editorial feedback on your manuscript. I prefer to stick to the genres I’m most familiar with and enjoy reading, so if you have a manuscript that falls into any of the categories below, and are interested in getting more information about my services, please email me through the contact page.<\/p>\n

Genres I edit<\/strong>:<\/span> Middle Grade fiction, Contemporary YA fiction, Contemporary Romance, Women’s Fiction, <\/strong>Memoir,<\/strong>\u00a0Cozy Mysteries, Science Fiction-Fantasy<\/strong> and general Fiction.<\/strong> As you’ll see, there’s nothing too dark here…no Horror, Thrillers, True Crime Mysteries. I prefer to stay away from excessive violence and bullying as well. This is not a judgement on those topics, I simply have to consider my own mental well-being and so I give those a miss. If I don’t do what you’re looking for and you would like a referral, my favourite person to recommend (for some, but not all of those genres) is the wonderful writer and editor, Eileen Cook<\/a>. She’s the person I use myself!<\/p>\n

\"SoL<\/a>I also write YA under the name J. M. Kelly<\/strong> and I am the author of the White Pine Nominee (2018)\u00a0<\/em>PNBA<\/a>and Shortlisted novel, Speed of Life<\/a>.<\/p>\n
