Use of the limitation
The game fully embraces the theme of Mystery by placing the player in a confined space with no context, no instructions, and only fragments of information hidden within the room. Each chapter presents a self-contained whodunit, challenging players to piece together clues, interpret subtle hints, and solve a final riddle to progress. The limitation "All in a Box" is realized both literally and conceptually — all five mysteries unfold entirely within the same boxed-in room, recontextualized with each new chapter. There are no new scenes or expanded worlds — just one room, constantly reshaped by the secrets it hides.

Cool game, I wish there was different backgrounds for different level to match the content of the mystery.
hey! thanks for playing and for the feedback :)
This is pretty good, although I would have added highlighting of objects of interest and having an interact button
hey! thanks for playing and for the feedback!
I originally wanted to make something in a detective style too, but changed my mind — I’m glad someone went for it! I really liked the atmosphere.
Thanks a lot for playing :) ...I'm glad u liked it!
the scene, while it looked nice at first, looks a bit strange when you check the details - was it AI generated? I was kind of lost walking around the scenario because i didn’t know if things were relevant for the clues or just background
hey! thanks for playing :) ...yes, only the background is AI generated ....the player needs to walk around the room and he will find clues on the table or on book shelf or etc.... i had added question mark signs for the clues but then i removed them since it was becoming very easy ...the clues are randomly generated in the room but will be generated in relevant places like the table, etc.
The artwork looks amazing. But I did really miss that there are no visual clues that correspond with the text clues. There's no reason to walk around the image, since it's not really related to the puzzle. A complete text based interface would have been just as effective. That said, I do like the concept of having to remember the clues and solve the case in your head.
hey! thanks for playing :) ...i had added a question mark sign where the clues appear, then it became very easy ....so i removed them
Great atmosphere. It would have been nice to see the clues reflected in the room. There was a clue regarding a wine bottle, but I couldn't see a wine bottle anywhere. Clues were well thought out and engaging. Great game
hey! thanks for playing :) ...i had added a question mark sign where the clues where, then it became very easy ....so i removed them
I'll start with what I like about the game
Love the art style, very cure little animation too, the room is also pack with things. it is not just an empty room full of nothing. love it soo much
The little downside is, the clue feels like random. I didn't know where to go other than move to all the object until there's clue. And sometimes the clue even not on the right spot, it says found something on the door while i was interacting with bookshelf. I feel like you planed to do more room than this one, but got no time to do the art.
Little improvement to the game, I think adding interact cue to the object will tell a lot more to the player, like a little interaction with the environment. As for the clue, I hope there's a window for past clues, so we can revisit. Right now the mechanics feels like challenge of memorizing clue soo.....
Overall, this game has potential, love the character design.
Good Job!
hey! thanks for playing :) ...actually the clues are on the right spot ....when you went to the bookshelf the clue was there.... it will display the clue and if it is the last clue it will tell you to go to the door in the same info panel after the clue....i think you must have got confused with that...
i wanted to add interactions with the environment and also like show question mark signs where the clues are there, but then it was becoming too easy...now at least the player needs to go to each place in the room to find the clue.
..thanks for the detailed feedback.... appreciate it!
Your welcome!... Also feel free to rate my game and give me feedback!
sure will do ...
The art looks very cool
hey! thanks for playing :)
