was a bit hard to understand at first, but once figured out how to light out the lantern, everything turned well and the game was pretty fun. i would have wished to have a day goal or keep playing until you reach a certain point of the game, because i enjoyed a ton the gameplay loop, reaching the level of being something like Minecraft.

super good game, congratulations! it was impressive that this was done in scratch, building the engine must have been terrifying for sure!

very polished game, blown away by the fact that its made in scratch, the music getting that extra hit of reverb in the mines is a very cool concept, but i do wish the loose screen had a easier way to restart :)

overall, solid submission and i hope you place high

cute game!

Pretty cool, the UX is a bit clunky tho, i think it would have been much better if you could just click and drag stuff around in the menu's and such, like there's 3 buttons (E, F, Q) that realistically could be just 1, the concept genuienly looks cool but the controls feel confusing, also that jumpscare was scary and unexpected which is great, but the audio for it was unbearable lol

addictive game with great progression, i managed to get a stable loop by using mine-cart to get far fast. But then the game started lagging (probably because there was a lot of leftover coal, I stockpiled it as much as I could) And I died because I couldn't get back on surface with those lags. Maybe making coal be gone on the next day can make it more stable and create more tension. Also its very interesting that you created your own engine, how did you do it??

i didn't want to remove items at a new day because i though you would want to keep them on the ground for the next day, but i guess i couldn't foresee the amount of coal building up on the ground because of how much you get from mining
for the engine, I just handled all the game logic like objects and stuff myself instead of instead of using prebuilt stuff and rendered everything through code

i second ricotv its impressive that you made the engine, there is a lot to unpack control wise in a short span of time over gameplay but its relatively easy to get the hang of, you did a good job on this!

I got a little confused if you were to continue it I would start with some really basic tutorials 1. eat apple 2. mine 3. put coal in lamp etc. It was very impressive, you said you made you own engine ?!??! that crazy. The menu and all you built were very cool. I wish I could get the hang of it.

I am very aware of it being confusing, and I really wanted to have some sort of tutorial but I didn't have the time for it :(

I could have a little tutorial section in the description, if that helps!!
