Cute and fun overall, very easy and made me feel like a gruesome shepherd. Really fun, I'd love to see more upgrades and something to make the game stand out a bit more. Maybe an ending or some scene for me getting all upgrades.

In My Opinion:

If you limit upgrades -> Add an ending for the players to chase
Instead
Don't limit upgrades -> Have them scale infinitely, make the game fun for the player to see how crazy and OP you can get.

Cute overall. I liked the system, but it was a little easy to just cheese/corral the enemies into a corner (though I didn't really have the patience for it tbh) I'd love to see more abilities, crazy combos, etc. very cool idea!

Wow that was really fun!! Even though I basically got the gist of everything after a few runs, I really wanted to get everything Maxed out and I played a lot longer than I expected  :D

really fun gameplay. A little hard to pay attention to the enemies and also watch the stress bar at the very far right of the screen -- some audio feedback (like a heartbeat increasing rate, or just the sound of a bomb fuse getting louder) would have helped a lot to cue me to stop moving when i was so focused on the enemy patterns

Thank you for taking the time to play the game and for recording a 15-minute gameplay video! Seeing how other people play and what they think is really helpful for improving the game. Thanks a lot for the valuable feedback.  You’re right about the sound it honestly didn’t come to my mind at the time.

Really nice gameplay and concept. Maxed out everything, I had a lot of fun playing.

Great concept and solid execution here. The animations and art style are fantastic, and the mechanic is simple to understand yet hard to master. I love that you added gamepad support here, too, as it makes such a difference for so many games including yours. That said, I didn't realize that I could use the Start button to immediately start the next round from the upgrade screen until after I maxed out everything—it would have been great to see a hint for that on-screen. I'd been using my d-pad to shuffle the focus back over to play every time which really slowed down the pacing for me.

Thank you for the valuable feedback. I’m glad you liked it! I had actually never drawn anything in my life before. These are my first attempts, so I’m really happy that you liked them.

Nice! I really liked this mechanic. The upgrades definitely felt like they made an impact on the game, even with something as small as an increased radius. I also think the 5 coin play cost can help encourage people to actually try to blow up more gladiators rather than repeatedly only getting one or two, and it was fun to herd a bunch of them in a corner and explode them all at once! The highest I got was 10. Good job on this!

seu jogo é muito bom cara, realmente um jogo legal de zerar, se possivel gostaria que você fizesse novos mapas e inimigos por que o jogo é tão legal que eu já zerei

Thank you for playing and enjoying it. I might release an update in the future.

Very addicting game, I was able to max out all of the power ups. The game mechanic is super novel and makes this game unique. I tried to maximize the number of kills and it seems my best is 9 kills. Definitely a solid submission!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing and enjoying it. A score of 9 is really solid!

Nice graphics, fun and addictive! The enemy AI is also very good. You could add a way to select the upgrades with the gamepad, not only with the mouse. Anyway, very nice!

Developer(+1)

Actually, you can buy upgrades using a gamepad — I tested it again. Maybe the mouse cursor was still hovering over a button or something, I’m not really sure. I was a bit sad to read that comment, because I spent several hours fully integrating gamepad support into the game. In the upgrade menu, you can purchase upgrades using the gamepad buttons (Xbox – A, PS – X), and you can also press Start to jump straight into the game. Because the stress bar doesn’t increase very smoothly with keyboard input, you can also control how fast it fills based on the strength of the joystick input, making it speed up or slow down accordingly.

I even added vibration feedback in many places in the desktop version. Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback!

It's a pretty interesting concept, I could see this being expanded to feature more content!! Good job!! :D

I’m glad you liked it. I was actually planning to add things like spear-throwing enemies too, but I ran out of time. I’m thinking about updating it in the future.

Pushing gladiators into corners seems to be the meta :D

The stress level is a really cool concept that made me rage a few times when I forgot to keep an eye out for it

Fun! I maxed out all upgrades and really tried to herd a bunch of gladiators into corners. Unfortunately they get stuck and if you stay close to them, they don't start running to the "obvious" next direction. I think it would be great to be able to herd a bunch of them together (my max was 8)

Developer

Thank you for the valuable feedback! Getting 8 kills in a single run is really good. Most people who played the game couldn’t do that. (One of my friends claimed they got 22 :D)
