Back to some birds! I was researching species of birds that are native to Colorado (I ended up illustrating the Lark Bunting instead) to illustrate for my show at @flcartgallery in conjunction with my visiting artist series at Fort Lewis College, and the Ruddy Duck was a contender since they were featured on the Durango tourism site (although they live almost all over the country).
