How to Grow Queen of the Prairie Seeds (Filipendula rubra):Queen of the Prairie is a tall, moisture-loving perennial with fluffy pink plumes that can take a couple seasons to hit full size. Seeds germinate best after a cold period, so the simplest way is to sow outdoors in late fall or winter: scatter seeds on prepared soil, press in lightly, and let natural cold stratification do the work.
