We had the most difficult time finding lighter hardwood colors for red oak floors. I searched all over and got some good ideas from Pinterest. We wanted something lighter but didn’t like the way some grays made the floors look with more pink hues or with alot of variations. We ended up making our own and love the color. Duraseal 1/2 special walnut and 1/2 classic grey. Its a light mid tone color that made the floors more consistent with less variation.

Does anyone have pictures of either Coretec Calypso Oak or Coretec Cairo Oak installed? I thought that I had decided on Calypso Oak but I’m really worried that it’s a bit too light for me, especially the bevel color.
