So I found this super cute video on youtube, a lipsync version of "What Makes You Beautiful" by the Young Men in the stake that they made for the girls to watch at camp. I loved the message and the idea that what makes our girls beautiful is their desire to do right. So I based this whole activity on this concept and also the 13th Article of Faith. We have a couple of girls turning 12 this year and this fulfills one of the requirements for Preparing for Young Women. This video is on youtube...

Activity Days Ideas- developing talents

We did this for Activity Days and it turned out SO cute! They really are that easy and cute! (and cheap!!!)

I love this activity because it could really count for 3 different activities....LLG #1- "Explain how taking the sacrament helps you renew your baptismal covenant In FHE, teach other about things we can do to remain faithful." It could count as Serving Others because we are making the bread for the congregation to use in the Sacrament service. Tonight for Activity Days we are doing something super simple yet really important. We are going to work on the requirement under Learning and Living the Gospel about the sacrament. My lovely assistant will be teaching a short lesson on the sacrament and the covenants we make/renew. Then the girls will be coloring and decorating this card, which is 4x6. We are going to put some ribbon at the top so they can use it as a scripture/bookmarker. They will be able to pull it out and look at it...
