Since it’s a detective novel that investigates and solves a murder mystery, and it’s also the first book where Sherlock is introduced to the world, I chose to bring a touch of drama and suspense to this cover through the choice of colors and the red smoke rising from the pipe, reminiscent of blood. #bookcoverillustration #sherlockholmes #blood
