Did you know...

Tightness of the inner thighs (adductors) can limit our squat?

When our inner thighs are really tight and limit our ability to squat, other body parts (most commonly our lower back), have to compensate.  So, when we squat (i e. Sitting down & getting up from the sofa, toilet, etc), we may feel lower back discomfort.

Personally, I love combining inner thigh stretches with movements where the hip joint is the fulcrum of movement (i.e. hip axials and hinges); these help get the hip joint moving in all planes of motion.

Try this simple stretch series:

1️⃣ Rock backs with hip axials x 10 reps/leg to open the long adductor and hip joint

2️⃣ 1/2 kneeling short adductor stretch with hinges x 10 reps/leg
