This app is spectacular! Creates beautiful art and anyone can do it. No matter how artistic you feel you are, this app will enable you to create a myriad of wonderful intricate creations, with endless possibilities. I agree with another reviewer who said that if you have anxiety, this app will help you. The calming music, the visual majesty, and the interactive design process will soothe you and center you in the moment. Let go of your regrets, let go of the melancholy nostalgia of hindsight, let go of the past, let go of nervous thoughts about the future, let go of your worries and predictions - rest and float happily here in the present. Sometimes we need a break from the constant stream of analysis and the reflexive judgements we make subconsciously about everything we see or experience - We need to experience for a while without evaluating or appraising or labeling anything and this is an experience like that. Don't think - just listen to the music and let your fingers move. Believe me. This is meditating without meditating. And it's worth every penny.

It allows us to explore our own creative energy, but gives you tools to make it easy and enjoyable instead of frustrating and complex. Some of the art apps are so complicated that there is a steep learning curve. With Silk you are off and running in no time. Use the links in the upper right corner to change the shape of your lines, the circles of color on the bottom right to change colors (you can mix them together if you like or use the arrows to forward through the prepared palettes) and the links on the bottom left to change what type of output you want. Mix, match, play, it’s all effortless and so relaxing. This app is well worth the price, I have gotten hours of enjoyable artistic expression out of it, and I am just getting started. Enjoy!

This is an extremely well designed app. Even though it is a generative art app it isn't an app where you set things in motion and simply watch it do it's thing. There is a certain amount of discovery that can be had and depending on how much creativity you apply, you can really get involved in the details of your image.A friend of mine who suffers from migraines has discovered an alternative benefit from this app. She starts creating with it and it relaxes her and gets her through the migraine. She said there are other apps that will do this as well but none are as interesting as Silk. Particularly because you can choose one color, two colors, or a color palette. You can also rotate through all the colors in a palette.The only downside I can see is that you can't create color palettes of your own. This would be a great feature to add. There are other things I'd like to see. Brush width control for instance. The ability to import and draw on a picture. Even the ability to save the artwork as a PNG without the background so that it can be placed in another picture. And if the developer were to go that far, how about adding layers?But even without these things though, this is a top notch app to exercise your creativity. You can save as a high resolution image which makes it useful for iPhone and iPad artists that have a workflow that touches on several apps in the course of creating a final image.I can't guarantee that you'll like this app but if you're someone who is a little bit creative then I am reasonably sure that you'll find this app entertaining.

this app is honestly amazing. the music, the way that the art looks, everything. it's super calming, and since I have anger issues and depression, I play this a lot. it helps me calm down and let my imagination flow, however it wants. it's super good, and for a cheap price too. this app is $3 and should be $20 because of how good it is, way better than the computer site. more options, colors, and you even get a separate black and white, plus a rainbow color for whatever color pallete you use. i don't know if there's anything bad about this, no adds either! thanks for making such a beautiful and calming app!
