Phalanx Conversions

Doing some head and leg swaps as I organize the phalanx. Foundry never made any unarmored eastern phalangites or the bracing phalanx pose. I think the straw hats spread across the phalanx will give a unique look as well as the agema phalanx with plumes.

Elite Agrianian Peltasts

I’m really excited about how these turned out! Can’t wait to get them sprinting alongside the Companik. Cavalry!

This is Macedonia!

I watch a lot of Kings and Generals on YouTube and they are mostly to blame for this! 😁

The king has just been assassinated and Alexander is consolidating his support, but what of the planned invasion of Persia? It would be folly to turn back now! Parmenion builds a bridgehead in the Hellespont as the kingdom gathers for war!

First up had to be my war elephant, this will be used as a mercenary unit or later for the Successors and Diadochi wars.

Much more to come as the phalanx gathers.

Somewhere in Spain: Assembling Perry Miniatures' Napoleonic Spanish Infantry

I recently finished assembling a full Spanish force for the Peninsular War using Perry Miniatures’ excellent hard plastic kits. In total, the force consists of 7 battalions of 24 men each, ready to hold the line or crumble heroically under French pressure.

Italians Somewhere in Spain

The Italian 6th Regiment on Campaign

Both battalions of the Italian 6th Regiment stand ready for battle, resplendent in their white coats with green facings and red cuff highlights. Whether marching in column or forming up for a desperate defense, they bring a distinct Napoleonic flair to the tabletop. From the Voltigeurs in bearskin colpacks to the wounded drummer keeping pace, each miniature captures the character of these French-allied soldiers.
