Add Layer dialog box not closing automatically Inkscape 1.5

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• setup document properties
• go to Layer > Add Layer
• Add Layer dialog box opens
• click Add
• the new layer is created but the dialog box stays open

What happened?

• the add layer dialog box stays open

What should have happened?

• the add layer dialog box should have closed when pressing Add
