Shape builder - subtract mode color does not update until you move mouse

Steps to reproduce:

open Inkscape
overlap two circles
start shipbuilder
hover over the segment and hold ALT but do not move mouse

What happened?

cursor changes but the color stars blue
(same for reversed scenario )

What should have happened?

cursor should change and also the color of segment should change to corresponding color
