Division generates lots of redundant nodes
Boolean operation "Division" generates lots of redundant nodes. See the attached file with two paths before and after the boolean operation, both on version 1.0 beta and 0.92.4.
Steps to reproduce it:
• Create a rectangle.
• Create an oval.
• Place the oval above the rectangle, select both and convert to path.
• Select Path>Division.
What happened
The oval generates a hole with over 600 nodes (in v. 1.0beta).
Version 0.92.4 creates a hole with over 60 nodes, which is quite too many. For comparison, the same process generates 4 nodes in Illustrator.
What should have happened? Inkscape should create a path with many, many fewer nodes, possibly as many as the oval has.
This is particularly annoying. Using a number of similar paths slows the application to a crawl. Even selecting becomes an impossible task.
