Selection rectangle, left and top invisible, right and bottom trails

Open Inkscape
File > Document properties
Near the bottom left corner in the section: Background
Click on the color box to the right of: Background color
Change the bottom slider A: (alpha) to 100
Change the color to black
Left mouse button drag on the canvas towards the bottom right, now drag to the top left.

The selection rectangle leaves behind white lines.
And if the background color is black, then the left and top selection edges can't be seen.

The selection edges shouldn't leave behind lines, and all edges should be visible in all background colors.
