Tiling LPE negative scaling may lead to increasing scale after a while

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape
• draw an object,
• apply tiling LPE,
  • 1 row, some columns,
  • scale -10%, left to right option.
  • click the + button of columns field

What happened?

At some moment (when new object are very small), size of new object begin to increase

What should have happened?

with negative scaling, new object should never be bigger than previous
