Paint selector widget missing on startup
This is a follow-up to #1509 (closed), which is itself a follow up to #125 (closed)
Summary (copied from #1509 (closed))
- Since the switch to gtk3 we have problems with random widgets not showing up after startup.
- This seems to be caused whenever Inkscape changes the size of the window on startup (e.g. to restore the previous window size).
- It can be "fixed" by manually changing the size slightly (widgets appear instantly).
This issue is about the paint selector widget
Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape
- open preferences dialog > Interface > Windows
- Change Default window size (first preference)r to Small
- Restart Inkscape
- draw an rectangle
This also occurs for other preference settings, but these options seem to work consistently on Linux Mint, Cinnamon DE.
What happened?
- Paint selector in the bottom left corner is not updated until you switch windows or resize the window
What should have happened?
- updated immediately
Inkscape Version and Operating System:
- Inkscape 1.2-dev (04e5423e, 2021-04-16) Linux Mint 20
