Inkscape 1.1 alpha lost its abillity to share bitmap converted (or any) clipboard data with Gimp.
Steps to reproduce:
- open Inkscape 1.1 alpha appimage from https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/jobs/1131985204/artifacts/file/Inkscape-30c0b84-x86_64.AppImage
- Make a filed circle
- Make a bitmap copy
- Open Gimp
- Create a new image in Gimp
- Paste as new layer in Gimp (ctrl+Alt+V)
- The bitmap copy fails to paste into Gimp
What happened?
The bitmap copy of an object; such as stroke gradient text on a curve, is not saved as clipboard data or capable of being pasted into other programs; such as Gimp. Pic example https://i.imgur.com/ITRIKer.png . Making graphical text in Inkscape and pasting it into Gimp is a major part of my workflow. I would greatly appreciate this being fixed. ...
What should have happened?
The bitmap copy should have been pasted into Gimp like it does on Inkscape 1.0.2
