Cannot quit Inkscape on macOS Big Sur from welcome screen

Summary:

It is not possible to quit Inkscape on macOS Big Sur from the welcome screen - you have to create a document before it is possible to quit.

Steps to reproduce:

• open Inkscape with the welcome dialog enabled
• Try and quit the application, using either the quit accessed through right-clicking in the taskbar, or the drop-down menu item headed "Inkscape".

What happened?

Nothing, Inkscape does not respond. Have to create a blank file, and then it can is possible to quit from there.

What should have happened?

Application exits without creating a file, or warning dialog as nothing will be lost.
