Unable to load/render a SVG from Adobe Illustrator

The attached SVG file was exported by Adobe Illustrator. It appears all black (or possibly all white) inside Inkscape.

The groupings and paths and objects are all present it appears. Only the style is wrong. The style uses some inline elements as well as document links. I believe it might be one object or group obscuring the rest, as sometimes I Can grab an element, move it, and reveal the colorful picture below it.

I've tried various export modes from AI, and they result in similarly broken files when imported into Inkscape.

Chrome renders the file correctly (see attached image). Though Firefox has some issues.
