improving scroll and zoom speed

I saw some footage from a vector editor and got an idea to improve scroll and zoom speed. In the video you can see that the method they use to improve render speed is actually just to rasterize the whole file after each operation which is really quick in inkscape as well, and then when zooming you first see the image a bit pixely until it is rerenderd in the new size, the same thing for scrolling.
