Cannot render latex

Steps to reproduce:

• Open Inkscape
• Extensions > Render > Mathematics > LaTeX (pdflatex)
• Write a formula, then check "Live Preview" or click on Apply button.

What happened?

I get the following error:

Fatal Python error: Py_Initialize: Unable to get the locale encoding
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'encodings'

What should have happened?

I have Inkscape 0.92.5, and everything works fine.

I am running the AppImage version of Inkscape 1.0
