[Feature Request] Navigate with arrow keys in Layers and Object panel

Summary:

Would it be possible to make the back arrow key collapse the objects in a layer, forward show (uncollapse?) them and up and down arrows navigate up and down in the layer / objects hierarchy?

Steps to reproduce:

  • open Inkscape
  • add (lots of) layers and objects to the file
  • open Layers and Objects panel
  • try to use arrow keys to navigate layers and objects

What happened?

Arrow keys have no effect.

What should have happened?

Especially in large documents with lots of objects I'm scrolling through the Layers & Ojects panel a lot to to hide / show, lock / unlock layers and I somehow find myself always hitting the left arrow key when I'm down somewhere in a layer with 50 or more objects to collapse the layer and to quickly get to the top of it to hide or lock it or change to another layer.

I don't think the attached video shows the issue very well but I believe it would be faster navigating complex files if you could just collapse / uncollapse layers with back and forward arrows (back being the important one here, I think the others are mostly to make it consistant).

Thanks a lot for creating this amazing program! 💖
