3d box default style should be "This tools own style"
Steps to reproduce:
- Delete preferences.xml
- Open Inkscape
- Default for 3d box is Last used style.
- change the last used style to one with a fill and stroke (e.g. create a rectangle and change to a different color and stroke)
- Create a 3d box
What happened?
By default, the 3D box is given the last used style, which is set on the group (of the box faces). Since each face has its own fill and stroke, nothing happens.
What should have happened?
Default should be "This tool's own style", like with the spiral tool. That way, users won't be confused that the box's fill and stroke don't match its appearance on canvas.
This issue was raised in inkscape#717 (closed), where changing the stroke-width did not change the stroke (since the box faces all still have stroke set to none).
If later, someone implement a coloring that applies to the box faces themselves, we can change the default back. Or perhaps there was a reason this was the default.
